The Reiter Alpe (Germany). The forest on these mountains was crushed out almost completely by our ancestors. They used the timber to produce charcoal for the salt refinery in Bad Reichenhall between 1840 and 1929. (The Austrian/German border takes course over their summits.)

Die Reither Steinberge (Reiter Alm, Reiter Alpe), gerodet und verkarstet aufgrund des riesigen Holzkohlebedarfs unserer Vorfahren (Betrieb der Saline in Bad Reichenhall vor 150 Jahren). Die Grenze Österreich/Deutschland verläuft über die Gipfel.
