In Tashigang some western foreigners living or coming regular for shopping the daily needs. So the local kids got accustom to them but always asking for a chat to use and improve their English language.

Every time I visited Mueang Boran I met pupils and school classes as well as young students from colleges learning about the Thai history and culture. The image of HRM the King and Queen of Thailand is at the highest place in every room. Royalism is an important fundament in Thailand. Its a remarkable behaving of the kids, some are a bit too shy but some ask for our own culture in Germany or Austria.

Before we entered the Tự Đức Mausoleum complex we met a group of pupils waiting for the entrance too. It was Incredible how every kid try to use his english knowledge starting a conversation with us. This much shortened our waiting time for the entrance.

Muslim pupil girls today are dressed with an headscarf, when I come to this place thirty years ago the Muslim women and girls seldom wear like this. Something has changed and it seems that the islamic dress code has turned to be more uniformed.

Ungefähr 45 km südwestlich von Hannover liegt die Gemeinde Auetal im Schaumburger Land mit dem Ortsteil Rolfshagen der heute etwa 1800 Einwohner zählt.

Nach der Abdankung des Fürsten Adolf im November 1918 wurde Schaumburg-Lippe zwischen den Jahren 1922 und 1934 ein Freistaat mit etwa 35 000 Wahlberechtigten und eigenem Parlament. Dieser Staat war darüber hinaus zugehörig zur Weimarer Republik.

Zwei bis vier Lehrer waren damals hier im (noch nicht vorhandenen) Niedersachsen in einer Schule. Ein Lehrer unterrichtete eine Klasse. Die Schüler gingen 8 Jahre zur Hauptschule. Nicht jede Schule hatte ein eigenes Gebäude sondern nur die erforderlichen Klassenräume in einem größeren Gebäude. (ich habe meinen Schwiegervater gefragt der da 92 Jahre alt war)

Wer genauer hinschaut sieht in der Nähe des Lehrers ein Kreuz bei Lisbeth; sie war die Schwester meiner Schwiegermutter: nicht lange nachdem dieses Klassenfoto entstanden ist ist sie gestorben (lt Standesamt Auetal geb 14.8.1922 gest 24.1.1934)

Many pupils have to cross the Kings river to get to school and have to pay the full fee. Not much for us but a lot for them because they haven't any alternative to pay it twice a day.
