Den ollen Dickkopf, der von den Chemnitzern liebevoll "Nischl" genannt wird, habe ich ja schon öfter abgepixelt. Um so schöner war es für mich mal wieder eine andere Bildgestaltung zu finden. www.ipernity.com/tag/bonsai59/keyword/4839252 Mal mit Schneemütze, mal mit Hut, mal mit Beleuchtung und mal mit Hintergrund und diesesmal habe ich ihm ein Blütenbett spendiert. ;-))) Also, daß Ihr mich nicht falsch versteht, die Narzissen sind nicht mit KI oder dergleichen in's Bild gepflanzt, sondern genauso echt wie der Dickkopf selbst. ;-)

Ein spätes HFF, liebe Fotofreunde. Nach dem ich mir fast den A ..... abgefroren habe, kommt dieses Bild ganz frisch vom Chip.

Bei meiner Fahrt zur Fichtelbergbahn Anfang des Jahres, bin ich abends auf der Rückfahrt mit dem Zug, auch an der Burg Scharfenstein vorbei gekommen. Der Bahnhof befindet sich direkt unterhalb der Burg. Beim Blick aus dem Fenster des Zuges war mir natürlich auch die "extremst leuchtende" Burg aufgefallen. Am Liebsten wäre ich sofort ausgestiegen, aber erstens hatte ich kein Stativ mit und zweitens wäre mir der nächste Zug zu spät gewesen. Also, sich in Geduld üben, auf einen günstigen Moment warten und noch mal hin. Das Tageslichtfoto ist vom 08. Februar letzten Jahres.

Hier bekommen Chemnitzer ein neues Sitzgefühl: Seit Montag gibt es auf dem Johannisplatz den ersten "BIG C"-Sessel. Die Sitzgelegenheit ist eines von sechs Möbeln, auf denen Passanten verweilen können. Die anderen sollen demnächst installiert werden.

Guten Morgen liebe Fotofreunde! Vorgestern entdeckte mein Sohn dieses Mohnblumenfeld in der Nähe meines zu Hause. So wie er von dem Anblick geschwärmt hat, packte ich sofort meine Kamera und bin losgezogen. Tatsächlich habe ich ein Mohnfeld in dieser Farbe noch nie gesehen. Das intensive Pink hat mich schon sehr fasziniert. Den Mohn sieht man ja sonst eher in einem kräftigen Rot oder einem zarten Rosa. Einige meiner Freunde und Bekannten meinten, es sei Schlafmohn, aber da bin ich mir nicht sicher. Kenne mich mit den Mohnarten nicht aus.

Im PIP zu sehen eine kleine Bastelei aus Kindertagen. Ich selbst kannte das zwar nicht, aber eine Spaziergängerin in meinem Alter, die ich da zufällig traf hat mir davon erzählt und gezeigt, wie man ein solches Püppchen macht. Man braucht dafür zwei Kapseln. Eine geschlossene als Köpfchen an dem man ein Stück Stil stehen läßt und eine sich öffnende Blüte. Die eine Kapsel in den Blütenboden der anderen hineingesteckt und dann die Blütenblätter der anderen Blüte wie ein Kleidchen auseinandergefaltet. - Na ja, das war wohl früher eher Mädchenspielerei ... ;-D

The "Finland" is a pun--it has nothing to do with the country, it's because harder layers weather out as fins! (And blades, and ridges, and even more complex shapes.) The rock unit is the Aztec Sandstone, a red sandstone unit that accounts for lots of scenery in this part of the world. It's the same as the Navajo Sandstone in Arizona and Utah--the different name here is from those "historical reasons." The inserts show some other views.

View northwesterly; the Benchmark Summit (2275 m/7464 ft) is the high point at the end of the ridge we're on just right of center. The Honey Lake Basin is the distant valley beyond, in California. There _should_ be lots more snow at this time; Jan 2022 was the driest on record, with zero recorded precipitation. We're just below the true summit (2282 m/7487 ft) here.

Der ungefähr 80 x 80 m große Platz liegt im Herzen von Augsburg und hat eine unregelmäßige Form, die einem Viertelkreis ähnelt. Anfangs war der Platz erheblich kleiner und beschränkte sich auf den nördlichen Flächenteil des heutigen Platzes. Dort befanden sich im Mittelalter Verkaufsstände für Butter, Geflügel und Eier. Aus diesem Grund trug der Platz zuerst den Namen Eiermarkt. Von 1588 bis 1594 lies die Stadt in der Mitte des Eiermarktes den Augustusbrunnen errichten.
Auf dem südlichen Teil des heutigen Rathausplatzes befanden sich ursprünglich etwa ein halbes Dutzend Gebäude, die während der Bombennacht 1944 schwer getroffen wurden und ausbrannten. Anfang der 1960er Jahre sollte der Platz neu bebaut werden, die Bürger waren jedoch von der freien Sicht auf das Rathaus und den Perlachturm (siehe klickbares PiP) so begeistert, dass sie gegen die Bebauung protestierten. So entstand der Rathausplatz in seiner heutigen From und Größe und wurde 1974 von Ludwigsplatz in Rathausplatz umbenannt. Quelle: Wikipedia

The approximately 80 x 80 m large square is located in the heart of Augsburg and has an irregular shape that resembles a quarter circle. In the beginning, the square was considerably smaller and was limited to the northern part of today's square. In the Middle Ages there were stalls selling butter, poultry and eggs there. For this reason the square was first named "Eiermarkt" (Egg market). From 1588 to 1594, the city had built the Augustus Fountain in the middle of the egg market.
On the southern part of today's "Rathausplatz" (Townhall square) there were originally around half a dozen buildings that were badly hit and burned out during the night of the bombing in 1944. At the beginning of the 1960s, the square was to be rebuilt, but the citizens were so enthusiastic about the unobstructed view of the town hall and the Perlach tower (see clickable PiP) that they protested against the development. This is how the Rathausplatz was created in its current shape and size and was renamed in 1974 from "Ludwigsplatz" (named after the Bavarian King Ludwig I) to "Rathausplatz". Source: Wikipedia
