Seit 1932 ist das Hochplateau oberhalb von Laucha ein Segelflugplatz 1937 wurde er zur Reichsflugschule ausgebaut.. Der steile Hang des Unstruttales wurde genutzt um per Handseil und später mit der Motorwinde die Segelflugzeuge über den Hang zu katapultieren. Heute wird nur noch per Motorflugzeug hochgeschleppt. Man nutzt aber nach wie vor die guten Aufwinde des Muschelkalkhanges.
Erster Ausflug mit dem Mopped ;)
