They are one of the largest chameleon species in the world.
They live primarily in dense, humid primary forests.
Juveniles may have a more brownish tint, as shown in the photo.
This species is endangered due to habitat loss.
They are oviparous lizards. Females lay between 5 and 40 eggs.
They are active during the day and feed on insects.

Die türkisblauen Punkte sind eher typisch für die Östliche, kommen aber auch selten bei ausgewachsenen Männchen der Westlichen vor.
Fundort ist am südwestlichen Rand von Berlin.
