Les papillons se font rares cette année ! Trop chaud pour eux !

Merci Domcho pour le nom du papillon du milieu . C'est le brun du pélargonium .
Invasif et nuisible pour les géraniums , il est petit mais résistant car c'est le seul que je vois dans le jardin en ce moment !

L’Azuré de la sanguisorbe ou Argus strié ou Télégone (Phengaris teleius ou Glaucopsyche teleius ou Maculinea teleius)
est une espèce de lépidoptères (papillons) de la famille des Lycaenidae, de la sous-famille des Polyommatinae et du genre Phengaris. C'est une espèce protégée, inscrite sur la liste rouge des insectes de France, ainsi qu'en Europe.
Ici une femelle sur fleur de Sanguisorbe, aussi appelée Pimprenelle.
Sanguisorb azure or Argus striate or Telegon (Phengaris teleius or Glaucopsyche teleius or Maculinea teleius)
is a species of lepidoptera (butterflies) of the family Lycaenidae, the subfamily Polyommatinae and the genus Phengaris.
It is a protected species, registered on the the red list of insects in France, as well as in Europe.
Here is a female on Sanguisorba flower, also called Burnet.

Diesen wunderschönen kleinen Tagfalter fand ich (zusammen mit einigen kleinen Käfern) auf einer Acker-Witwenblume (Knautia arvensis). Es ist ein Roter Scheckenfalter (Melitaea didyma). Seine ästhetische Oberseite zeigt das PiP. Diese Schmetterlingsart steht in der Roten Liste Bayern als stark gefährdete Art. In Deutschland ist sie besonders im südlichen Bergland stellenweise häufiger, jedoch teilweise stark im Rückzug. Im Norden ist sie selten. Die Schmetterlinge leben an warmen, sonnigen und trockenen Stellen, wie z. B. steinigem Trockenrasen und felsigen Südhängen. In Österreich sind die Populationen überall sehr geschwunden. Die Raupen ernähren sich von Königskerze (Verbascum lychnitis), Gemeinem Leinkraut (Linaria vulgaris), Spitzwegerich (Plantago lanceolata), Aufrechtem Ziest (Stachys recta) und Großem Ehrenpreis (Veronica teucrium).

I found this beautiful little butterfly (together with some small beetles) on a flower of Knautia arvensis. It is a spotted fritillary butterfly (Melitaea didyma). Its aesthetic top side shows the PiP. This butterfly species is listed in the Red List Bavaria as a highly endangered species. In Germany, especially in the southern mountainous regions, this buttgerfly is more frequent in places, but some of them are in retreat. In the north it is rare. The butterflies live in warm, sunny and dry places, such as stony dry grassland and rocky southern slopes. In Austria the populations have dwindled very much everywhere. The caterpillars feed on Verbascum lychnitis, Linaria vulgaris, Plantago lanceolata, Stachys recta and Veronica teucrium.

Ein Bild aus meinem Garten vor einigen Tagen: Ein weiblicher Zitronenfalter saugt Nektar an einer Kronen-Lichtnelke, auch Vexiernelke genannt (Silenene coronaria), und bestäubt dabei die Blüte. Die weiblichen Zitronenfalter sind deutlich weniger gelb gefärbt als die männlichen Falter (s. PIP).
Zitronenfalter können eine Lebensdauer von bis zu 12 Monaten (!) erreichen und haben somit die längste Lebenserwartung aller mitteleuropäischer Schmetterlinge. Die Tiere überwintern als einzige mitteleuropäische Schmetterlingsart ohne Schutz als Falter frei in der Vegetation. Entweder sie sitzen dabei auf Zweigen oder zwischen trockenem Laub auf dem Boden. Mit Hilfe von Glycerin, Sorbit und Eiweißen gelingt es ihnen, den Gefrierpunkt der Körperflüssigkeiten derart zu senken, dass sie Temperaturen von bis zu minus 20 Grad schadlos überstehen können. An warmen Wintertagen können sie kurzzeitig aktiv sein, in der Regel verharren sie aber an ihrem Platz über den ganzen Winter hinweg, sogar wenn sie komplett von Schnee bedeckt werden. Im zeitigen Frühjahr ist der Zitronenfalter dann wieder nicht nur dort aktiv, wo seine Wirtspflanzen (Kreuzdorn) wachsen.

A picture from my garden a few days ago: A female common brimstone sucks nectar from a rose campion (Silenene coronaria) and pollinates the flower. The female butterflies are much less yellow than the male butterflies (see PiP).
Common brimstones can reach a life span of up to 12 months (!) and thus have the longest life expectancy of all Central European butterflies. They are the only Central European butterfly species that hibernate without protection as butterflies free in the vegetation. Either they sit on branches or between dry leaves on the ground. With the help of glycerine, sorbitol and proteins, they succeed in lowering the freezing point of body fluids to such an extent that they can survive temperatures as low as minus 20 degrees without suffering damage. On warm winter days they can be active for a short time, but they usually remain in place throughout the winter, even when they are completely covered by snow. In early spring, the common brimstone is then again active not only where its host plants common buckthorn (Rhamnus carthartica) grow.
