This is one of our regular visitors to the bird feeder........sitting on the fence right outside our living room window. This was his second time round and you can see some of the pieces of mealworms stuck in his feathers!

Taken through the window with a double glazing filter on the lens ;-)

Another piece of skull-themed street art, which I found painted on a door panel of a closed up shop in Portsmouth. It's obviously been there for some time.

This one seems to be a cross between a snail and a skull.

A "Snull" perhaps, or maybe a "skail" ?

I think it looks better large, the artist is very talented.

As we returned to the mainland from he small isles aboard the CalMac Ferry the M/V Loch Nevis the days Sun and been replaced by a thickening sea mist, the ships Fog Horn blasted a safe passage to the port of Mallaig, as we came nearer to shore the mist backed away and the ghostly figures appeared on the end of the breakwater,

The statue of a Fisherman and Child that stands at the entrance to Mallaig Harbour on the west Coast of Scotland. The statue was donated to the community of Mallaig by the sculptor, the late Mark Rogers of Knoydart. Mallaig was once the Europe's busiest Herring Port and is the most westerly harbour on the British Mainland.

A busy day as we had walked the shores of Loch Morar in the morning and now we are at the little village of Arisaig with its tiny harbour where one can take a boat trip to the Small Isles of Eigg and Rum.
In front of us showing its Prominent pitchstone ridge is the profile of An Sgùrr on the Isle of Eigg. Much further than it looks here across the sea loch of Loch nan Ceall into the Atlantic.

The seed heads (from a neighbours garden) are Poppy and Nigella. Taken indoors. The background is a piece of brown card, to which I added a texture and a vignette for a grungy look, to match the seed heads. Natural light helped by a small white LED panel. The vase, wood and stones are from my props box ;-)

Couldn't find much inspiration for a photo yesterday, but I eventually found this small feather (about 60cm long) in my garden. Black and white seemed the way to go!
