The first note was taken from the topmost viewpoint, the second from the lower viewpoint.&lt;br /&gt;

They breed on the Antarctic peninsula and on Subantarctic islands, using snow free areas to build their nest of stones. Often the nests lie quite high up and the birds have to struggle uphill. Downwards they like to toboggan on their bellies;-)&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
These photos are from Peterman Island where all 3 species of pygoscelis can be watched (apart from gentoo also Adelie/ Pygoscelis adeliae and chinstrap/Pygoscelis antarcticus). Visitors should keep their distance and never block the birds' way to the sea.&lt;br /&gt;

There is a road along the fjord but the last 2,5 km to Skálanes are only passable for 4x4 (several river crossings) or via a footpath that has bridges. Just before the house the track crosses a breeding area of arctic terns- we got attacked quite aggressively;-)&lt;/div&gt;</description>

Der Hauptwasserfall stürzt in die 150m breite Garganta del Diablo (Teufelsschlucht). &lt;br /&gt;
Mitten durch den Fluss verläuft die Grenze zwischen Brasilien/Provinz Paraná (links im Bild) und Argentinien/ Provinz Misiones /rechts im Bild). Beide Seiten sind durch Nationalparks geschützt und UNESCO Welterbe. Argentinien hat den größeren Teil der Fälle, von Brasilien aus hat man den besten Überblick (vorzugsweise im Nachmittagslicht).&lt;br /&gt;

Die bizarren Felsformationen, die durch Wind-Erosion entstanden sind, bestehen aus Ignimbrit, wie auch die ganze Landschaft vulkanisch geprägt ist. DIe Dalí-Wüste ist Teil des Eduardo-Avaroa-Nationalparks.&lt;br /&gt;
