The same one as two shots back and earlier in the day. It just seemed to sit there getting bigger and bigger until it was directly overhead and emptied its load. Fortunately the only (mild) damage was a flooded garage - a regular occurence - and a neightbour's tree blasted to smithereens!
It could have been far worse!

Always difficult to video or photo as they are so quick! They do a great service by keeping the mosquito population down. They are normally seen just as the sun sets.

A strange situation; over the mountains and into Segovia Province, they had a succession of storms all day while we had unrelenting blue skies. Only late evening, as I relaxed with a glass of something alright, did I see the storm clouds and the edges caught by the rapidly sinking sun.

These are Samphire and Asparagus Islands. I have never been sure which is which. I asked a local fisherman who had lived in Portreath all his life and he had no idea what I was talking about. He didn't know they had names! The unsentimentality of practical local people!
Mid distance, Crane Islands and North Cliffs, Far distance, Godrevy lighthouse and Reskajeage. I used to enjoy walking between Portreath (a mile behind me) and Godrevy. 5 hours including a walk into Hayle to get the bus back, or 7 hours if I did half the walk at low tide, rock-hopping along the shoreline!
