Der Kleine Panda (Ailurus fulgens) oder Rote Panda lebt im östlichen Himalaya und im Südwesten Chinas. Er ist ein geschickter Kletterer und ernährt sich hauptsächlich von Bambus. Er ist etwa 120 cm lang und 4 bis 6 kg schwer. Mit dem Großen Panda ist die Art nicht näher verwandt.

Tout excité il, vient de vouloir se baigner, mais à peine dans l'eau qu'il en est ressorti avec juste les pattes et le bas du corps mouillés.
Je pense que c'est un juvénile qui n'ose pas encore se mouiller entièrement .. et fait des essais.

A key identifying feature is a dark brown triangular spot near the wing tip. The hindwings are often concealed when the moth is at rest but are clearly visible during flight, displaying a striking yellow-orange to brownish-yellow pattern. This gives the moth a surprisingly colorful appearance in flight. It typically produces two generations per year: the first from late April to June, and the second from July to August. Diet: The adult moths actively feed on nectar during the day, showing a preference for plants in the pea family (such as alfalfa or clover).

Elle mesure environ 25 à 30 millimètres de long. Ses ailes antérieures sont gris-brun à ocre, ornées de deux bandes transversales brun foncé caractéristiques. Une tache triangulaire brun foncé près de l'extrémité de l'aile est un signe distinctif typique. Les ailes postérieures sont souvent cachées au repos, mais parfaitement visibles en vol : elles présentent un motif jaune-orangé à jaune brunâtre très contrasté. Ce qui confère au papillon une apparence étonnamment colorée en vol. Il vole généralement en deux générations par an : la première de fin avril à juin, la seconde de juillet à août. Insgesamt sechs Kücken hatten die Kohlmeisen geschickt in der kleinen Kiefer neben unserem Ferienhaus in Ahrenshoop versteckt. Dieses Kücken gab sich besonders fotogen, während sich die Geschwister mehr oder weniger geschickt abduckten.
