This black fly looks fierce because of its appearance and color. I caught it on a stem as it was climbing upwards :))

Replacement motherboard arrived yesterday for my pc. Rebuilt pc and all is well.

Always a risk buying second hand electronics but not a lot of choice in this instance as windows 7 is not compatible with the new motherboards.

Now to find some inspiration with the camera.

The beetle has a characteristic grey-green to metallic-shimmering coloration. Its body is slender and elongated. It owes its name to its thickened hind femora, which are usually only so pronounced in males. It is often found on flowers, especially yellow ones like dandelions or buttercups, as it feeds primarily on pollen and nectar.

Ce coléoptère présente une coloration gris-vert à reflets métalliques caractéristique. Son corps est fin et allongé. Il doit son nom à ses fémurs postérieurs épaissis, généralement aussi marqués chez les mâles. On le trouve souvent sur les fleurs, notamment les fleurs jaunes comme les pissenlits ou les boutons d'or, car il se nourrit principalement de pollen et de nectar.
