In the hush beyond visible light, the infrared curled frond with each leaflet in perfect placement reveals a repeating cycle that had been taking place for 390 million years. In its infrared world, the fern is no longer just a plant but an intersection between the biological and mathematical with its repeating patterns and hypnotic spiral that invites the viewer to follow its curve to its exact center. It is a quiet architecture of light and time, holding within its delicate geometry the persistence of life as it gradually and patiently unfolds.

Firenze, juillet 2009 . Je prenais un Coca à 8 euros le verre sur la Piazza della Signoria. Etourdi par les trésors artistiques et architecturaux de la ville mais aussi par la foule des touristes, j'avais, comme à mon habitude, sorti mon petit carnet de notes pour griffonner mes impressions quand l'oiseau est venu se poser juste en face de moi.

-Je suis l'exilé, le ténébreux,celui qui s'est perdu longtemps dans les cercles. Et je reviens chaque jour sous la forme d'un oiseau noir hanter la ville de ceux qui m'ont chassé.
- Quels cercles as-tu traversé?
- Lis-moi..."

Autour de moi, les hommes parlaient ,la dame buvait son expresso et la lumière du jour découpait les ombres des bâtiments et des fontaines dans la parfaite indifférence de notre rencontre.

Plus tard, j'ai acheté un exemplaire bilingue de la Divine Comédie ...

After watching one of our 2016 holiday videos the other night I was reminded to search out another Canadian Rockies scene for here. This lake is in Alberta, near Jasper and is 22.5km long covering an area of almost 20sq km at a deepest depth of 100 m. There are several glaciers running into here. We were only here an hour or two as the weather turned cloudy and cool but our memories remain vivid. PiP for another view.

Le plus beau, le plus intelligent, le plus photogénique, mais aussi le plus agressif.
Un vrai petit fauve dans sa jeunesse, il s'est calmé ensuite.
Je l'adorais, il m'aimait aussi mais je crois qu'il préférait ma voisine qui était amoureuse de lui. Il a d'ailleurs fini sa vie avec elle...
