Diese hübsche Libelle hat sich vor mir gesetzt,als ich mit dem Makroobjektiv ein Insekt fotografieren wollte und hielt brav still!Die Männchen sind azurblau mit schwarzer Zeichnung. Das entscheidende Erkennungsmerkmal ist die Zeichnung auf dem 2. Hinterleibssegment: Neben einer U-förmigen oder spitz zulaufenden Figur befinden sich seitlich zwei kleine Striche,die Weibchen sind meist grünlich bis gelbgrün oder mattenblau gefärbt mit einer durchgehenden dunklen Zeichnung auf der Oberseite des Hinterleibs,sie sind etwa 31–33 mm Länge und mit einer Spannweite von ca. 3,5 bis 4,5 cm gehört sie zu den kleineren bis mittelgroßen Kleinlibellen.Man sieht sie von Mai bis Juli/August :))

This pretty dragonfly landed in front of me when I wanted to photograph an insect with my macro lens and stayed perfectly still! The males are azure blue with black markings. The key distinguishing feature is the marking on the second abdominal segment: besides a U-shaped or pointed figure, there are two small lines on the sides. The females are usually greenish to yellowish-green or matte blue with a continuous dark marking on the upper side of the abdomen. They are about 31–33 mm long and with a wingspan of about 3.5 to 4.5 cm, they belong to the smaller to medium-sized damselflies. They can be seen from May to July/August :))

Cette jolie libellule s'est posée devant moi alors que je voulais photographier un insecte avec mon objectif macro et elle est restée parfaitement immobile ! Les mâles sont bleu azur avec des marques noires. Leur principal signe distinctif est la marque sur le deuxième segment abdominal : outre une forme en U ou pointue, on observe deux petites lignes sur les côtés. Les femelles sont généralement verdâtres à vert jaunâtre ou bleu mat avec une marque sombre continue sur la partie supérieure de l'abdomen. Elles mesurent environ 31 à 33 mm de long et ont une envergure d'environ 3,5 à 4,5 cm ; elles font partie des demoiselles de petite à moyenne taille. On peut les observer de mai à juillet/août :))

I rediscovered this beautiful snail shell in nature; a snail is even peeking out from behind it. However, I only wanted the shell as the main subject and opted for a black and white look with a warm high-key effect, which I really liked :))

These butterflies stayed in this spot on the flowers for a very long time, among the blue butterflies. They kept moving from one place to the next, and I was always able to quickly track them with my camera. I only took more photos when they were even slightly still, and that's how this series came about :))

Ces papillons sont restés longtemps au même endroit sur les fleurs, parmi les papillons bleus. Ils se déplaçaient sans cesse, et je pouvais toujours les suivre rapidement avec mon appareil photo. Je ne prenais d'autres photos que lorsqu'ils étaient un tant soit peu immobiles, et c'est ainsi qu'est née cette série :))

Ich habe diesen Käfer auch erst das erstemal entdeckt,er ist ca 5,5 bis 8,5 mm groß und man sieht ihn von Mai bis September,er ist sehr gerne in Laub- und Mischwäldern unterwegs.Der Kopf ist außergewöhnlich breit gebaut und scharf gegen den restlichen Körper abgegrentzt,grundsätzlich schwarz, wirkt durch die eng anliegende, feine Behaarung aber oft graubraun mit hellem Fleckenmuster.Bei den Stachelkäfern ist das Hinterleibsende spitz verlängert, bei dieser Art jedoch im Vergleich zu verwandten Arten eher kurz und hinten leicht abgestumpft.Seine Körperform ist keil- bzw. buckelförmig gebogen.Sie sind sehr flink und agile Krabbler :))

I also just discovered this beetle for the first time; it's about 5.5 to 8.5 mm long and can be seen from May to September. It prefers deciduous and mixed forests. The head is exceptionally broad and sharply defined against the rest of the body. It's generally black, but due to the close-lying, fine hairs, it often appears grayish-brown with a light spotted pattern. In spiny beetles, the end of the abdomen is elongated to a point, but in this species, it's rather short compared to related species and slightly blunt at the rear. Its body shape is wedge-shaped or humped. They are very quick and agile crawlers :))

Je viens moi aussi de découvrir ce coléoptère pour la première fois ; il mesure environ 5,5 à 8,5 mm de long et on peut l'observer de mai à septembre. Il affectionne les forêts de feuillus et les forêts mixtes. Sa tête est exceptionnellement large et bien délimitée par rapport au reste du corps. Généralement noir, il apparaît souvent gris-brun clair tacheté en raison de ses fins poils denses. Chez les coléoptères épineux, l'extrémité de l'abdomen est pointue, mais chez cette espèce, elle est plutôt courte comparée à celle des espèces apparentées et légèrement arrondie à l'arrière. Son corps est cunéiforme ou bossu. C'est un rampant très rapide et agile ! :))

There, they preferentially cling to stones at the bottom of streams and rivers. Stonefly larvae are extremely sensitive to water pollution and low oxygen levels. Finding them in a stream is an excellent bioindicator of very high water quality. The lifespan of the adult, flying stonefly is very short, often lasting only a few days to a few weeks.
