All that ice cream left me with lots of leftover egg whites; macarons seemed like the obvious solution. :) (and then i had a bunch of leftover ganache, which i rolled into little balls and tossed with some spicy hot cocoa mix for some cinnamony truffles... :) )

First attempt at macarons: really happy with the way they turned out, except I suck at the pastry bag thing - even using a template, they all came out different sizes, and several of them stuck together catastrophically. (i have a new template, with fewer circles and more negative space, for the next round... ;) )
