Another shot from our December week in the Lake District. This one taken on our day in Coniston. As can be seen most of the low lying fields were under water. The other side of the gate is a wheelchair walk!

This stone ring was carved by human hands about 3000 years ago and was found in South Sahara desert. I know it should be in a museum but it was given to me by the person who found it and was not stolen.

Delicate Arch at Sunrise

We did not hike up to Delicate Arch; the folks you see in the photo, did. We were at the viewpoint far down in the valley. Used the maximum telephoto with my Panasonic GX85.

The rising sun has just touched 2/3's of the Arch. Some of the photographers on the mountain still have their tripods set up.

Each moment was a different view, as the sun lit various parts of the scene.

Image processed with GIMP. Oh yes, 600mm equivalent Panasonic zoom telephoto. There was a very nice log railing all around the viewpoint area, which I used as a "tripod".

Taken with the Panasonic Lumix GX85 at full 140mm telephoto, hand-held.

(with Micro 4/3ds it is half-frame, so the 35mm equivalent here would be a 280mm telephoto)

I used the same lens and camera settings when we experienced the April 2024 eclipse repeat in the USA.

The Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanic Garden in Columbus, Ohio, has an extensive installation of glass work by Chihuly.

This is just one detail of the photos I took during our visit. Used the Panasonic Lumix GX85 for these photos.

For the Sunday challenge, this looks like a letter. Just WHAT letter makes me wonder. (X?)
