The chalk on our walk for St. David's Day is based loosely on the 1902 self-portrait of Welsh artist Gwen John, with daffodils added and the greeting "Dydd Gwyl Dewi Hapus" as a caption.

Based on Waterhouse's 1910 Ophelia; chalk on our front walk. Shakespeare by the Sea will be performing Hamlet in our nearest park soon, so this is to welcome them.

Today I got to do chalk at an actual event again, in Belmont Shore neighborhood of Long Beach. They put down paper for the chalk art, so I can do some things that aren't practical on pavement.

This one was inspired by collage and ephemera, and those "Man in the Moon" -type vintage photos.

And it won Honorable Mention at the event. :)

In late February 2022, the chalk in front of our house was based on a painting by Sonia Delaunay, "Finlandaise" (1907-1908).

In January, I made a walkway of blue hex tiles, based partly on traditional designs, and partly just doodled. This was as big as it got before a rainstorm came.

For October 2021, we had an Egyptian sarcophagus drawn on the walk in front of our house. Three times, because it was washed by rain twice.
