I feel an overwhelming urge to discover the secrets that lie in the abyss. As I write this account in my journal there is anticipation, and yes, the expectation that I may never again see the light of day. Let it be known that I have lived a full life before I take the plunge into the depths of darkness. With good fortune and provenance from above I may some day surface to tell the world of my discoveries.&lt;br /&gt;
With wavering courage and feelings of trepidation, I forge ahead.&lt;br /&gt;

It was very apparent that foreigners were a rare sight.  Even the pedicab drivers did not offer to "find me good hotel".&lt;br /&gt;
