I only just discovered this little rascal for the first time; it's not exactly welcome in vineyards and on some deciduous tree species. It grows to about 5 to 7 mm in length. A typical feature is its metallic sheen, which can be intense blue, golden green, or coppery red depending on the light and the specific variety. Like all weevils, it has a distinctive, snout-like elongated head. It's also called the grapevine leaf roller. It got its name from this: The female gnaws at the leaf stalks of grapevines, pears, or poplars, causing the leaf to wilt and become pliable. Then comes the "cigar-rolling" technique: It skillfully rolls the wilting leaf into a dense, cigar-shaped roll. Inside this roll, it lays its eggs. The larvae hatch, protected inside, and feed on the decaying leaf tissue. Later, the roll falls to the ground, where the larvae pupate in the soil. :))

Je viens tout juste de découvrir ce petit insecte malfaisant ; il n’est pas vraiment le bienvenu dans les vignes ni sur certaines espèces d’arbres à feuilles caduques. Il mesure environ 5 à 7 mm de long. Sa caractéristique principale est son éclat métallique, qui peut être d’un bleu intense, d’un vert doré ou d’un rouge cuivré selon la lumière et la variété. Comme tous les charançons, il possède une tête allongée caractéristique, semblable à un rostre. On l’appelle aussi le enrouleur de feuilles de vigne. Il doit son nom à son mode opératoire : la femelle ronge le pétiole des feuilles de vigne, de poirier ou de peuplier, ce qui provoque le flétrissement et le ramollissement de la feuille. Elle utilise ensuite la technique du « roulage de cigare » : elle enroule habilement la feuille flétrie en un rouleau dense, en forme de cigare. C’est à l’intérieur de ce rouleau qu’elle pond ses œufs. Les larves éclosent, protégées à l’intérieur, et se nourrissent des tissus foliaires en décomposition. Plus tard, le rouleau tombe au sol, où les larves se nymphosent. :))

Zur Zeit sieht man gelegentlich in Blüten des Löwenzahns den Trauer-Rosenkäfer (Oxythyrea funesta). Er ist ein Verwandter des Goldglänzenden Rosenkäfers (Cetonia aurata), siehe PiP1 und des Zottigen Rosenkäfers (Tropinota hirta), siehe PiP2.

At present, the black rose chafer (Oxythyrea funesta) can occasionally be seen in dandelion flowers. It is a relative of the rose chafer (Cetonia aurata), see PiP1, and the hairy rose beetle (Tropinota hirta), see PiP2.

Ich habe diesen Käfer auch erst das erstmal entdeckt bei mir und es ist kein deutscher Name bekannt,er gehört zu den Weichkäfern und man entdeckt ihn in den Wäldern,er ist ein fleißiger Räuber, der sich hauptsächlich von kleinen Insekten und Blattläusen ernährt,man sieht ihn von Mai bis Juli :))

I've only just discovered this beetle here for the first time, and it doesn't have a known English name. It belongs to the soldier beetles and can be found in forests. It's a diligent predator that feeds mainly on small insects and aphids. You can see it from May to July :))

Je viens de découvrir ce coléoptère ici pour la première fois, et son nom anglais est inconnu. Il appartient à la famille des scarabées soldats et vit dans les forêts. C'est un prédateur assidu qui se nourrit principalement de petits insectes et de pucerons. On peut l'observer de mai à juillet.

The strikingly red-and-black colored Red Assassin Bug (Rhynocoris iracundus) can occasionally be found in the herb layer of dry, warm habitats. It is a predatory species that feeds on various insects. To do this, it captures its prey, injects venom into the body with its strong piercing-sucking rostrum, and then sucks it out. It will even attack prey larger than itself.
Caution: Do not try to catch these insects - they can also sting humans, and the sting is said to be more painful than a bee sting!
The photo was taken in a Franconian nature reserve.

Versteckt im Wiesengras fand ich dieses Pärchen vom Gefleckten Schmalbock (Rutpela maculata), das sich intensiv dem Fortpflanzungsgeschäft widmete. Hoffentlich erfolgreich, denn auch die Zahl der Käfer geht in Deutschland merklich zurück.

Im Foto ein etwa 2 cm großer Eichen-Zangenbock (Rhagium sycophanta), gefunden auf einem Waldweg in einem Eichenmischwald. Kaum hatte meine Frau diesen Bockkäfer vom Boden aufgelesen und auf ihre Hand gesetzt, nahm er schon Abflugstellung ein und flog davon. Die Larven dieses Bockkäfers leben bis zur Verpuppung mehrere Jahre in Totholz. Der Eichen-Zangenbock wird in der deutschen Roten Liste als gefährdet eingestuft.

In the photo, an approximately 2 cm large ribbed borer (Rhagium sycophanta), found on a forest path in an oak mixed forest. As soon as my wife picked up this stag beetle from the ground and placed it on her hand, it immediately assumed a takeoff position and flew away. The larvae of this beetle live for several years in dead wood until pupation. The ribbed borer is classified as endangered in Germany.

est une espèce de coléoptères de la famille des cantharidés.
Il possède des élytres mous, peu striés et couverts de poils. Ses fémurs sont rouges et son pronotum, rouge-orangé avec une tache noire. Il se différencie de Cantharis fusca par sa tache pronotale centrale et ses fémurs bicolores (noir et rouge).
