A group to place all those images of the nearly 3000 different Moth species found throughout the British Isles. From the common to the very rare, all are very welcome. Please post only high quality images, with clear focus and unobstructed views. There is a limit of 5 images per day and where possible, please can you include a location of where the image was taken as this may help with the various recording schemes around the country, otherwise no formal rules apply.

[the grid is 5mm squares].
However, it is a splendid example, note the branched antenna and prominent eye-spots.
Found in the garden after a very cold night, it was not actually frosty, but close enough.
{apparently, the female has smooth antenna, and although there are eye spots, her colouration would be far greyer, almost monotone}.
