It’s not the (probable) twins, it’s not the extremely fancy wicker chair, it’s the large, tilting, apple “mask” surrounding the babies’ portrait that makes this RPPC "strange or unusual!”

Mark on the back of the postcard indicates a date from 1904 to the 1920s.

Found photo but I forget where it was from.
Strangely, there is only one name on the back - which perhaps suggests these are not twins but cousins and only one of them is not to the recipient of the card.

Taken at the studio of someone called Harris in Arapahoe, Nebraska, U.S.

Although I have converted most of these images to black & white, as it seems to improve the clarity, I thought that this group looked classier in sepia. They were displayed like this in Marjory's album However, the page was faded and the prints had been trimmed with scissors so I have squared off the edges and put them on black.
I hope that this collage is acceptable to the Vintage Theme Park group. I have always presented this as they appeared in my great aunt's album. I have assumed that this was at an hotel.

Apart from Father?, no-one has graduated to motorcycles yet. The man's bike does seem to have some extra features suggesting a motor of some sort. This photo and the one by the lake were extremely faded and have been heavily processed in Photoshop to get this level of clarity.

There is an even clearer photo, but my scanner link is playing up and it is too late in the evening to reboot everything!*
I have identified the bike from looking through online photos. The solid looking wheels and the distinctive front fork seemed to be fairly conclusive.
The location is likely to be near Hereford, although with no distinguishing landmarks, one can't be sure.

The eldest sister Elsie, was my grandmother and the second eldest was Doris - or Auntie Do(e) to my mother. There was another older daughter, Gertrude who died in infancy. The two smallest here are twins, Marjory and Phyllis.

I think so, but I'll be a daredevil and without proof, commit them to my Vintage Twins Group. They do have different colored eyes, at least that's how they appear, but apart from that they resemble twins in my eyes. What do you think, everyone?
This is a RPPC with AZO marks indicating a 1918 - 1930 date.

Posted for the Vintage Photos Theme Park theme of "Seeing Double".
My son saw this right after I walked out of the store in Niles, California, and exclaimed, "Oh, that was taken with a Petzval Portrait lens."
He could tell by the way it was blurred in a circle. He is interested in lenses.(!)
This is pre-1920 - but I can't remember the exact date - which was written on the back. I'll have to find this and post later.

Well...many years later I've finally gone back and searched out the date!
Written in faded brown ink on the back: Aug.12th, 1911.
