I feel an overwhelming urge to discover the secrets that lie in the abyss. As I write this account in my journal there is anticipation, and yes, the expectation that I may never again see the light of day. Let it be known that I have lived a full life before I take the plunge into the depths of darkness. With good fortune and provenance from above I may some day surface to tell the world of my discoveries.
With wavering courage and feelings of trepidation, I forge ahead.

This photo was taken by a Hasselblad 500C medium format film camera with a Carl Zeiss Distagon 1:4 f=50mm lens and Zenza Bronica 67mm SY44•2C(Y1) filter using Ilford FP4 Plus 125 film, the negative scanned by an Epson Perfection V600 and digitally rendered with Photoshop.
