The image composition uses the trees to frame the war memorial, and the Tower of Refuge in the far left background.

MER No.7 [Blue, Ivory & Teak livery] with trailer in tow arriving at the Derby Castle terminus.
For this journey No.7 has been paired with Trailer 56, the disabled saloon.

The horse tram [bulkhead car] in the background is the 1907 built No.44, in the Red White and Blue "Royal Tram" livery.

Car "21" & toastrack trailer "41" in the Ramsey terminus of the Manx Electric Railway.

[this location is just short of the original station, you can see the poles in the background]
{In 2023, the MER reinstated services to the original terminus}

Note : Car 21 is classed as a 'winter saloon' with 48 seats and was built in 1899 by Milnes. Carries the green & white "nationalisation" livery - which is not the most popular.

The "new" lifeboat house at Port Erin, dates from 1925 (the old house is from 1884) and currently houses an inshore boat, B-813 "Muriel and Leslie" - which is an Atlantic 85 - on station from 2006. She is slipway launched and recovered with a winch.

The modern view of the [cleaned up] main washing floor of the Great Laxey Mine - which produced Lead, Silver and Zinc ores, between about 1782 and 1929, from a very complex site.
The red painted water-wheel has been restored.

Sea gate is raised, retaining water in the 'marina' - the tide is dropping in the outer harbour, exposing the end of the slipway.
The [HFF] fence protects quite a drop from the roadway.

No.18 "Alisa" in the headshunt.
[built 1994 by Hunslets, for the Jubilee Line, London Underground & Channel Tunnel.
It was sold to, and used in 2000/2002, by the contractors who re-laid approximately 2/3 of the Port Erin line in conjunction with the IRIS project. It was then bought as a shunter by the steam railway].

Built in 1904 by ERTL running in Red, White & Teak livery. It was converted in 1999 to a disabled saloon, as such the number of passenger seats varies, depending on the configuration adopted.

F75 (A12+C9) in Port Erin Museum.
Also known as the "Duke's and Officer's Saloons" with C9 - built as a three compartment coach in 1873 - having been converted into an open saloon (the Duke's) at the Railway's own workshops in Douglas.
