Als wir vor 40 Jahren in's Heckertgebiet gezogen sind waren die Bäume alle noch relativ klein. Es ist ja zu der Zeit alles neu gebaut, und das Umfeld erst gestaltet worden. Wenn man da im Sommer bei schönem Wetter entlang gelaufen ist, dann in praller Sonne und der Weg nahm kein Ende. Heute ist es ein richtiger Tunnel geworden. ;-)

View onto the Via Ferrate 'Schlegeis 131' in the Schlegeis dam wall. You see the upper part where the route forks. On the left, the steep route (difficulty C/D) goes straight up. The easier bypass (difficulty B) branches off to the right.

Blick auf den Klettersteig 'Schlegeis 131' in der Schlegeis-Staumauer. Zu sehen ist der obere Teil, wo sich der Steig gabelt. Links geht es steil (Schwierigkeit C/D) direkt hoch. Rechts zweigt die leichtere Umgehung (Schwierigkeit B) ab.
