As the snow continues to fall 5619 takes a short freight through the woods to the east of Consall on the Churnet Valley Railway. This 30742 Charters event encountered these completely unexpected conditions which provided many great images on the day.

37 075 in charge as a train from Caldon Low passes Blackbrook Crossing on the Churnet Valley Railway. This section of the line has now been lifted.

44767 is about to cross one of the accommodation arches above Winkhill on the now lifted section of the Caldon Low line. It is such a shame that we can no longer see locomotives working hard up towards the quarries.

In gently falling snow 5619 takes a short freight through the woods to the east of Consall on the Churnet Valley Railway. Superb conditions for a photo charter and completely unexpected the day before.

Driver and fireman on ex Great Western Railway 4300 class 2-8-0 tank 4277 at Consall on the Churnet Valley Railway. They seemed to be enjoying themselves even if the loco was tired and off beat. Its 10 year boiler certificate expired a few days afterwards.
