Members of the Spartan Race in Oberndorf (Tyrol, Austria) yesterday morning. The picture shows subscribers of "The Beast", which leads over a distance of 20+ kilometres: uphill and downhill, through waters, over obstacles and sometimes even over someones limits . . .

The Spartan Race is the worlds greatest obstacle race and one of the the sportive highlights in Austria with more than 8,900 participants (2017)!

Teilnehmer/innen des Spartan Race in Oberndorf (Tirol, Österreich) am gestrigen Vormittag. Das Bild zeigt eine Strecke der höchsten Disziplin, "The Beast", die über 20+ Kilometer geht: bergauf und bergab, durch Gräben und Flüsse, über Hindernisse, und bei einigen auch über die Leistungsgrenzen . . .

Das Spartan Race ist der weltgrößte Hindernislauf und eines der sportlichen Highlights in Österreich mit über 8,900 Teilnehmer/innen (2017)!

Nicht denken, einfach weiter. Dennoch werden zwei Drittel der 1.200 Starterinnen und Starter zwei Stunden später in Apetlon (nach 60 Kilometern, auf der Hälfte der Strecke) aufgeben. Österreichs bester Trail-Runner dazu: "60 km in nassen Schuhen sind nicht lustig. Aber bei schönem Wetter kann ja jeder.":
