In Walvis Bay, Namibia, during our 2018 world cruise.

Apparently there used to be a cargo loading area on this side of the bay (Pelican Point). Rusty rails, now.

Since the main export of this area is salt, I assume that those ships anchored in the harbor are going to be carrying salt.

A nearby farm has a store of dereclict equipment including these old tractors. I liked the pastel colour effect of the paintwork, rust and moss.

Es ist nicht die Ruine der Hülseburg, sondern eine künstliche Burgruine, die der Herr von Schloss Hülseburg (siehe PiP!) in seinem Park anlegen ließ. Vom Schloss ist nicht einmal mehr eine Ruine übrig. Es brannte 1947, vermutlich infolge Brandstiftung, ab und die Brandruine wurde 1948 gesprengt und abgetragen.

Persepolis (Old Persian: Pārśa,[2] New Persian: Takht-e Jamshid or Pārseh), literally meaning "city of Persians",[3] was the ceremonial capital of the Achaemenid Empire (ca. 550–330 BC).
The earliest remains of Persepolis date from around 515 BC.
It exemplifies the Achaemenid style of architecture. UNESCO declared the citadel of Persepolis a World Heritage Site in 1979.[4]
The Gate of all Nations, referring to subjects of the empire, consisted of a grand hall that was a square of approximately 25 metres (82 ft) in length, with four columns and its entrance on the Western Wall.
A pair of Lamassus, bulls with the heads of bearded men, stand by the western threshold. Another pair, with wings and a Persian head (Gopät-Shäh), stands by the eastern entrance, to reflect the Empire’s power.
