The Lefkada Floating Bridge (Agia Mavra Bridge) is a 50-meter pontoon bridge connecting mainland Greece to Lefkada, making it the only Greek island directly accessible by car. Located 1km from Lefkada Town and near the historic Agia Mavra Castle, it pivots to allow boats through.

Back to one of our local harbours for this weeks wall, a low tide capture of the inner harbour which is now a 150 berth Marina at Watchet on Somerset’s, Bristol Channel Coast,

The high walls have to cope with the second highest tidal range in the world, often exceeding 12 to 14 metres (approx. 40 to 50 feet) during spring tides. This extreme fluctuation is caused by the funnelling shape of the estuary and resonant amplification of the Atlantic tide,

A sunny and cloudy day mix as boats return from sight seeing and ferry trips, "Sir Walter Scott" "Lady of the Lake" & Rob Roy III" on Loch Katrine, Perthshire, Scotland!

This is a beautiful freshwater loch in the Trossachs area of the Scottish Highlands, within Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park.

It inspired Sir Walter Scott’s 1810 poem The Lady of the Lake, which helped make the Trossachs the “birthplace of Scottish tourism” in the Victorian era. Queen Victoria visited in 1869.
