Der Airbus BelugaST ist ein spezialisiertes Großraum-Transportflugzeug der ersten Generation. Es wurde zum Transport von Flugzeugkomponenten zwischen Airbus-Standorten eingesetzt und nach über zwei Jahrzehnten im Dienst im September 2025 aus dem aktiven Dienst genommen. *)
Technische Bezeichnung: Airbus A300-600ST (Super Transporter), oft als BelugaST bezeichnet.
Kennung der internen Nummer 4: F-GSTC.

*) Nachfolger ist der BelugaXL, basierend auf dem A330-200Ft, der eine größere Ladekapazität bietet.

Sometimes we have unusual aircraft flying near the house, and on this occasion a U2 (technically a TR-1, I thnk) spy plane flew over quite low, with gear down and air brakes deployed. If you look closely at the front of the aircraft, you can see the imaging bay doors are open, pointing a very good camera lens at me!

DHC-6 Twin Otter (hier über dem Comersee), ein STOL-Flugzeug (STOL = Short Take-Off and Landing) von 'de Havilland Canada'.
Nach einer zwanzigjährigen Produktionsunterbrechung wird heute die modernisierte Version DHC-6-400 vom kanadischen Hersteller 'Viking Air' angeboten, der die Fertigungsrechte im Februar 2006 von 'Bombardier Aerospace' erworben hat.
Die Maschine gehört der 'Odyssey Operations Ltd', ist unter VP-CHO auf den Kaimaninseln (VP-C) registriert.

Patrouille Suisse, die Kunstflugstaffel der Schweizer Luftwaffe.
Gegründet 1964 mit vier Maschinen des Typs Hawker Hunter Mk.58, seit 1994 werden F-5E Tiger II eingesetzt.
Die Piloten der Patrouille Suisse sind Berufspiloten der Schweizer Armee.
Bereits mehrmals wurde die Auflösung der Patrouille Suisse angekündigt, einige Politiker wehten aber sich erfolgreich dagegen.

Anlässlich eines Grossanlasses der Schweizer Armee vom 16.-20. August 2023 auf dem Waffenplatz Kloten-Bülach fand u.a. eine Vorführung der Kunstflugstaffel 'Patrouille Suisse' statt.
Zwei Wochen später, vom 1. bis am 3. September 2023, feierte der Flughafen Zürich-Kloten seinen 75 Geburtstag. Auch an diesem Fest kam die Patrouille Suisse wieder zum Einsatz.
