Das Foto zeigt einen Teil des Ringlokschuppens im Eisenbahnerlebniszentrum in Pasewalk (Landkreis Vorpommern-Greifswald). Es handelt sich um ein historisches Bahnbetriebswerk aus dem Jahr 1886, in dem man heute historische Lokomotiven, alte Maschinen , einen Wasserturm und diese Drehscheibe besichtigen kann. Hier wurden die Lokomotiven auf das jeweils freie Schuppengleis verteilt.

Im Außenbereich des Eisenbahnmuseums "Lokschuppen" in Pasewalk ist auch eine sog. Dampfspeicherlok zu sehen. Diese feuerlose Lok ist eine spezielle Bauform einer Dampflokomotive, die ihre Antriebsform aus überhitztem Wasser bezieht. Die hier ausgestellte Lok wurde 1961 im VEB Lokomotivbau "Karl Marx" in Babelsberg gefertigt. Sie wurde bis in die neunziger Jahre im Papier- und Kartonwerk Schwedt eingesetzt.

Der Lokschuppen in Pasewalk (Landkreis Vorpommern-Greifswald) ist ein historisches Bahnbetriebswerk aus dem Jahr 1886, das heute als Eisenbahnerlebnis- und Eventzentrum für die ganze Familie dient.
Es gibt u.a. historische Lokomotiven, alte Maschinen, einen Wasserturm und eine Drehscheibe zu sehen.

Taken at the Bailey Yard, the largest railway freight-handling yard in the world. Located in North Platte, Nebraska.

They have an optional viewing tower ($$) so you can try to get a feel for the huge place. Amazing views.

Historische Gornergrat Zahnradlokomotive am Fotopunkt „Golden Spot“ auf dem Gornergrat in der Schweiz.

Die historische Zahnradlokomotive (He 2/2) mit der Nummer 3003 nahm ihren Dienst im Jahr 1898 auf. Sie nutzte ein spezielles Zahnradsystem, um steile Bergstrecken sicher zu bewältigen. Vergoldung: Die ausgemusterte Lok wurde restauriert, glänzend vergoldet und im August 2023 als Attraktion aufgestellt.

Für Ersatzleistungen und Rangierfahrten werden in den Bahnhöfen Kühlungsborn West und Bad Doberan heute jeweils Diesellokomotiven benutzt. Da Rangierfahrten mit Dampflokomotiven unwirtschaftlich sind, gestaltet sich der Einsatz einer Diesellok einfacher und kostengünstiger.

Deshalb trafen in den Jahren 1999/2000 fünf von verschiedenen 900-mm-Grubenbahnen stammende Diesellokomotiven des LKM-Typs V10C gebraucht in Bad Doberan ein. ... Die zusätzlich mit dem Namen „Otto“ versehene 199 014-2 (ex Nr. 101-04) dient als Reservelok.

The men here are implementing a temporary walkway between the 3 cars carrying the tour participants and the dining car. The three passenger cars were ex-Sydney loco-hauled suburban types which were redeployed to country NSW locations following Sydney electrification for localiish passenger services such as school student trains. They were part of the tour for the branch line run. The dining car was with the tour all the time.

Durchschnittlich 3mal täglich fährt der Koloss vom Kreis 5 mitten durch das Industriequartier Kreis 5 in Zürich. (*)
Der Zug befördert jährlich etwa 200 000 Tonnen Getreide an die Swissmill, der grössten Getreidemühle der Schweiz.
Während der Zug durch das Quartier unterwegs ist, steht der restliche Verkehr still, alle Ampeln sind auf 'rot' und die akustischen Warnsignale an!
Der Zug ist manchmal recht lang, fährt aber nur knapp mit Schrittgeschwindigkeit.

(*) Als die Strecke geplant wurde, war das Industriequartier im 'Kreis 5' eher ein heruntergekommenes Viertel für Randständige, heute ist's ein Trendquartier mit vielen Cafés und Restaurants, Läden und Hotels, mehreren Nachtclubs sowie zwanglosen Gartenlokalen und originellen Läden.
Viele von diesen Geschäften und Veranstaltern haben sich in den ehemaligen Industriebauten aus dem späteren 19. Jahrhundert niedergelassen, was dem ganzen ein speziellen Touch gibt.
Daneben gibt es auch noch die Flussbäder wie der 'Oberer Letten' und der 'Unterer Letten' an der Limmat.

Das westliche Ende vom Kreis 5 in Zürich, ein altes Industriequartier, in den letzten Jahres stark modernisiert und aufgewertet.

Einige alte Industriegebäude in diesem Quartier stehen heute unter Denkmalschutz, daneben entstehen ständig moderne Bauten.

Strassen- und Ortsnamen erinnern an die ursprünglichen Industrien in diesem Teil von Zürich: „Escher Wyss Platz“ (benannt nach den Industriellen Hans Caspar Escher und Salomon von Wyss, Gründer einer Buamwollspinnereni), Schiffbau-Platz und Schiffbau-Halle (heute Teil des Schauspielhauses Zürich), Giessereistrasse, Turbinenplatz usw. usw.

Bridlington station was opened in October 1846 by the York and North Midland Railway as the terminus of their line running from Hull railway station.

The present concourse shown here and the main platforms date from the 1912 expansion of the station, which included Bell's wrought iron canopies over the lengthy platforms 5 and 6. This new roofed concourse was built and the new station entrance included the original canopy from the old entrance.

The station concourse was closed due to staffing problems, but it was possible to get onto the platforms, using a side gate, in order to catch a train. I don't know how one bought a ticket - presumably on the train.
