The girl Rita Deliana at the temple altar after prayer in front of our apartment in Sanur.

A Balinese altar, often called a pelunggih, is a sacred platform or structure used for offerings and rituals in Balinese Hinduism. It is a central component of Balinese temples and shrines, as well as homes and workplaces. These altars serve to honor deities and ancestors. Offerings are placed on them daily to express gratitude and seek blessings.

Every temple has a founding day in the pawukon calendar, and every 210 days, the temple's birthday is celebrated. These temple birthdays, called odalan, are important events in the Balinese calendar.

The girl called Gek Aninda was asking me to set her portrait photo which I captured in October 2016.
The Puputan festival is celebratet in memorial of the overall, of the Dutch force managed to move inland without much resistance in the city of Kesiman on 20 September 1906.
Gek Andinda means the pretty dear girl in the Banjar (community) of Kesiman society.

Ni Lenda Lendi, created from a shadow, is a worshiper of Dewi Durga, the queen of black magic and goddess of death. Like her sister Leyak, she can transform into many different shapes and images, including monkeys, flame balls, and flying white cloth, but her specialty is a crow. She moves quickly, sneaks back and forth and stops three times to turn around, a ritual gesture that helps her regain strength, and her excited eyes reveal her naughty intent. Like her sisters, she can cause plague, illness and death and can only be destroyed with powerful magic. Her arched eyes are typical of masks, as are her exaggerated teeth.

Well dressed women at the wedding festival in Kesiman by Denpasar.
Married women wear a pink sarong and the young ladiy at the front a blue sarang. Rita Deliana still is single and is waiting to get married after her study.

The bride is only present for a short time. The groom kidnaps the bride for 7 days from the homestead of the father-in-law who has been initiated and lives with her in hiding.

A small temple in Toya Bungkah Kintamani at the botton of the Gunung Batur volcano.
Pura Tuluk Biyu temple is a Divine Heaven temple. This means that this temple is a temple for general worship for Hindus. Any Hindus in Bali or outside Bali may worship at this Tuluk Biyu temple.
The beautiful tempel is located nearby the Batur Natural Hot Springs.

The Tirta Empul Temple includes the traditional Balinese split gate along with shrines to the Hindugods Shiva, Vishnu, Brahma, Indra and the holy mountain Gunung Batur.

The holy bath with only very few temple goers, as I have never experienced before.
The Corona situation seems to be the reason.
The simple Balinese temple visitor dress code is a traditional kamen wrap or sarong around the lower body plus a sash around the waist. Planning to do the bathing ritual.

Nearby the northern city Nong Khai at the river of Mekong fishing is the pleasure of locals and tourists from far away.
Fishing the Mekong River was formerly Nong Khai's biggest earner. Thai and foreign, visit the city every year and come for fishing.
Other side of Mekong river is Laotian territory.
