Juráňova dolina is a hidden natural jewel located in the northernmost part of Slovakia, right next to the Polish border. This dramatic limestone gorge sits in the Western Tatras mountains and is famous for its stunning, narrow canyon carved out by a roaring mountain stream. Barfußwandern ist im Trend, und viele teilen ihre Erlebnisse, wobei einige sogar von spirituellen und gesundheitlichen Vorteilen berichten. Ich selbst bin schon mehreren Barfußwanderern begegnet. Sogar über steinige Höhenwege Mütter mit Kindern auf dem Rücken.

Das Barfußwandern stimuliert den Tastsinn der Fußsohlen und verschafft uns intensiven Kontakt zur Natur. Am Morgen kitzelt das feuchte und kühle Gras. Wir spüren sonnengewärmte Steine und raschelndes Laub. Dunkler Matsch quillt durch die Zehen, eine kleine Pfütze macht die Füße wieder sauber.

Barfußwandern kräftigt Muskeln, Bänder und Gelenke und verbessert die motorischen Fähigkeiten, es erhöht die Blutzirkulation in den Beinen und beugt damit zum Beispiel Venenleiden vor. Durch die ständige Massage der Reflexzonen der Füße wird Stress ab- und Entspannung aufgebaut. Roháčske plesá are a chain of glacial mountain lakes in the Western Tatras, in the Roháčska valley, beneath peaks such as Ostrý Roháč (2,087 m) and Plačlivé (2,125 m). The word pleso means a mountain glacial lake, so the name refers to the lakes of the Roháče area. They are special because the lakes are arranged in a dramatic stepped formation, one above another, which gives the place a very distinctive alpine character. *Ochse = ein Ochse ist ein männliches kastriertes Rind. Schon vor der Geschlechtsreife wir das männliche Kalb kastriert und so zum Ochsen. Dieses Verfahren setzen unsere Vorfahren schon seit 4000 v. Chr. in Mitteleuropa um. Ursprünglich diente der Ochse nämlich als Arbeitskraft. Die Kastration schenkt ihm ein deutlich friedlicheres Wesen, so dass er sich als kräftiger Helfer der Landwirtschaft zum Beispiel vor den Karren spannen ließ

*Färse = Die Kalbin oder auch Färse genannt, ist ein zuchtreifes weibliches Rind, das jedoch noch nicht gekalbt hat. Mit circa 18 Monaten ist die Kalbin soweit entwickelt, dass sie trächtig werden darf. Nach der Trächtigkeit und dem Kalben nennt sie sich voller Stolz Kuh.

*Jungrind = weibliches Jungtier im Alter von etwa fünf bis zwölf Monaten. Bis zum 7. Monat trägt das Kalb diesen Namen. Dann wird es zum Jungrind bis es ein Jahr alt ist. In dieser Übergangsphase setzt auch die Geschlechtsreife ein.
