The airplane mounted on the roof of the Deutsches Technikmuseum in Berlin is a Douglas C‑47, the military transport version of the Douglas DC‑3. It is dramatically fixed above the entrance on a steel structure, so it appears to be flying over the city. This placement turns the aircraft into a striking landmark and an immediate visual link to Berlin’s aviation past.

The C‑47 recalls the Berlin Airlift of 1948–1949, when such planes — nicknamed “Raisin Bombers” or “Candy Bombers” — flew supplies into blockaded West Berlin and sometimes dropped sweets for children. As an exhibit, it represents both technological progress and the political history of the Cold War, symbolizing international solidarity during the blockade and the vital role of air transport in sustaining the city.

Ce musée regroupe sur 5000 m2 plus de 35 métiers. Vous pourrez voir plus de 17 000 objets, présentés dans de très beaux bâtiments au style architectural typique de l’Anjou.

Il se consacre aux différents métiers du monde rural ayant existé au XIXᵉ et au XXᵉ siècle. Les collections vous plongent dans l’univers de l’artisanat et du monde rural au début du XXe siècle.

Découvrez ces métiers à travers 12 salles d’expositions. Vous y trouverez notamment des outils issus des métiers:

de la pierre,
du bois,
de la terre,
du textile ,
du cuir …
Les bâtiments du musée sont construits dans le style architectural du XVIIIe siècle avec des charpentes audacieuses, des rues pavées. Ils vous invitent à une balade dans un ancien village de l’Anjou. Entièrement créé par les bénévoles de l’association, qui ont mis tous leurs savoir-faire et leur passion dans ce musée, cette visite ravira petits et grands.

Ich war letzten Mittwoch mit einem Freund auf Fototour und wir haben uns nicht gescheut einen grösseren Umweg zu machen um den Bahnhof von Stararchitekt Santiago Calatrava in Mons (Belgien) erkunden zu können.
Bei Calatrava können sogar Tiefgaragen mehr oder weniger spektakulär sein :)
