When the leaves turn each Autumn on this tree, which is on the other side of town from where I live and on the same road, I photograph this particular tree.  I’ve been doing it since the 1970s.&lt;br /&gt;

It had been cloudy and overcast, and raining off an on for about a week, but the sun finally came out, so I finally got to photograph this tree in sunshine.&lt;br /&gt;

When the leaves turn each Autumn on this tree, which is on the other side of town from where I live and on the same road, I photograph this particular tree. It had been cloudy and overcast, and raining off an on for about a week, but the sun finally came out, so I finally got to photograph this tree in sunshine.&lt;br /&gt;

The surplus store is no longer there, but the road still retains that name.  I shot an entire roll of film along it’s length yesterday and this was the first shot of the journey.  Just a couple miles from my home in Norris City, Illinois, which is in White County, it becomes Hamilton County, where this road is located.&lt;br /&gt;

It's a long-standing tradition that goes back decades, to when they used to do it on the side of the old viaduct tunnel, which got torn down.&lt;br /&gt;

The film for this shot was long expired, but still seems to have turned out all right.  And it seemed appropriate to shoot Konica film in a Konica camera.&lt;br /&gt;

Developing Chemicals:  Unicolor C-41&lt;br /&gt;
Water pre-soak:  1 minute at 102 degrees&lt;br /&gt;
Developer:  3 ½ minutes at 102 degrees&lt;br /&gt;
Water rinse:  2 minutes (to keep chemicals clean)&lt;br /&gt;
Blix:  6 ½ minutes at 102 degrees&lt;br /&gt;
Water rinse:  2 minutes at approx. 100 degrees&lt;br /&gt;
Stabilizer:  1 minute at room temperature&lt;br /&gt;
Water rinse:  2 minutes&lt;br /&gt;
