Bei diesen Schnecken kann man ja in aller Ruhe fokussieren,um diese Fühler mit ihren Augen auch ganz nah zu Betrachten!Ich finde sie ja echt interessant,hier ein paar Aufnahmen :))

Zygaena filipendulae, the six-spot burnet moth, is a day-flying moth that flies with a slow, fluttering pattern. Look for it alighting on knapweeds, ragwort and thistles in grassy places. It is glossy black, with six red spots on each forewing. It's a common moth and can be seen in June to August.

Interestingly, the red spots of burnet moths indicate to predators that they are poisonous: they release hydrogen cyanide when attacked.

Cette coloration leur assure un camouflage parfait parmi les brins d'herbe sèche ! Leur envergure est d'environ 30 à 38 mm. Crépusculaires et nocturnes, elles restent parfaitement camouflées dans la végétation durant la journée. On les trouve dans les prairies humides et sèches, en bord de route, dans les pâturages et les prairies herbeuses. Elles se nourrissent du nectar des fleurs. :))

I heard on the TV the other day that these extended heatwave conditions are causing some trees to enter an "early autumn" phase as it was so dry.

Checking in the garden I saw evidence of this on the lawn under my sycamore tree.........lots of seed heads and leaves losing their colour and falling. I brought some indoors to photograph them.

The same is true of some of the other trees nearby. On the plus side, the seed pods and leaves are very photogenic.

There is a shot of one of the leaves in the PiP.

Much prettier than yesterdays spider ;-)

Spotted this one in a neighbours garden and manage to get a couple of shots before it scuttled away. If you look closely you can just see a pair of wings near its mouthpart, which I think means it's was just finishing off an aphid lunch.

There's a shot from a slightly different perspective in the PiP. Thanks for looking!

Taken indoors. It was climbing up a wall but I've flipped the photo 90 degrees for a better composition and added a grunge-type texture for effect.

After I took the photo it was collected in a spider-catcher suction device and released into the garden.

Die ausgewachsenen Raupen sind tiefschwarz und übersät mit feinen, weißen Pünktchen.Sie besitzen markante, verzweigte schwarze Dornen am Körper, die Fressfeinde abschrecken sollen.Junge Raupen sind zunächst gräulich-grün bis bräunlich und färben sich erst mit den Häutungen tiefschwarz.Ihre absolute Lieblings- und Hauptfutterpflanze ist die Große Brennnessel (Urtica dioica).
