Allen Menschen gilt die am Chorbogen auf goldfarbenem Untergrund angebrachte Einladung Jesu: „Kommet zu mir alle, die ihr muehselig und beladen seid.“ (Mt 11,28) In der Apsis thront Christus mit ausgebreiteten, einladenden Armen auf einem Stuhl, dessen Stützen je zwei Löwen bilden. Die von der italienischen Renaissancemalerei beeinflussten Kreuzwegfresken Theodor Baierls haben die einfache Zeichnung als Grundlage. Dies wird jeweils besonders in der Gestalt Jesu deutlich, bei der auf fast jeglichen farblichen Akzent verzichtet wird. Auch im Ganzen finden nur wenigen Farben Verwendung, etwas Grün und ganz sparsam ein besonders leuchtendes Rot.
Der Kreuzweg beginnt mit dem linken Fresko an der Stirnseite des rechten Querhauses (PiP1), setzt sich im rechten Seitenschiff fort, wird im linken Seitenschiff fortgeführt und endet hier im linken Querhaus (PiP 2). Quelle: Wikipedia
