Toronto Eaton Centre is a shopping mall in downtown Toronto that is a major tourist attraction.

PATH is a 30-km network of tunnels under downtown Toronto. Five thousand people work in it, and thousands more eat and shop there. On weekends, though, almost all the businesses are shut, and it's used mainly by people looking for warmth in the winter or air conditioning in the summer.

The H. St. George Baldwin House (1878), Lowther Avenue,Toronto. I have been unable to find out who the architect was.The Baldwins were a socially prominent family at the time, and, thanks to Andrew Trundlewagon, I have learned that Henry St. George was a nephew of Robert Baldwin, a very important figure in the history of Ontario.

The McCaul St. elevation of the Health Sciences Centre at University of Toronto. It was built for the old Toronto Board of Education. I could not find out who carved the relief.

Nathan Phillips Square, New City Hall, Toronto.

Nathan Phillips was the first mayor of Toronto who wasn't a Protestant (Toronto used to be called Protestant Rome), and the first mayor since 1836 who wasn't a member of the Orange Order. Although his development policies (such as the razing of entire neighbourhoods and the destruction of landmark buildings in order to modernize Toronto) are often criticized (the people had to rise as one to stop the demolition of Old City Hall, for example), he was known as the Mayor of All the People for acknowledging that Toronto was no longer an overwhelmingly Protestant city.

Ryan Reynolds studied here. So did Glen Gould, Oscar Peterson, Teresa Stratas, Jon Vickers, Diana Krall,Bruce Cockburn, Gordon Lightfoot, Sarah McLachlan, and many, many more!

The older part of the building is by Langley, Langley, and Burke, and opened in 1881.
