Situé entre mer et fleuve, dans l'Hérault, le port de plaisance de Valras-Plage fait le bonheur des pêcheurs depuis le XIXe siècle. Le port de plaisance à proprement parler a été construit au début des années 1970, au moment du déclin de la pêche sur Valras-Plage.

Le site compte aujourd'hui 220 anneaux, ainsi que 130 anneaux sur les berges de l'Orb. Vrai lieu de vie, le port de plaisance de Valras-Plage permet également la pratique du jet-ski, ou encore des promenades en mer via des professionnels.

Équipé de tous les agréments pour des étapes maritimes, le site est l'un des plus beaux lieux de la commune.
Le port de plaisance de Valras-Plage est situé dans l'Hérault. Il dispose d'une capacité d'accueil de 240 bateaux sur pontons. Le port de Valras-Plage dispose d'un espace visiteurs pour vos escales avec 120 places disponibles. Le port est réservé aux bateaux de moins de 13 m.

Everyone needs a holiday once in a while and so it was that we visited this place for a week. It is a stunning historic coastal town on Spain's Costa Brava, located about 100 kilometres north of Barcelona. It is famous as the only fully preserved fortified medieval town on the Catalan coast.

The actual spot is called: Esculturo so Gavina (Sculpture of a Seagul)

This is a traditional fishing method that uses a horizontal fishing net set from a fishing boat, a jetty or a fishing hut on stilts. Fishing huts on stilts along the shore, designed to cope with tidal changes, began to appear on the French Atlantic coast from the 19th century onwards, eventually becoming one of its defining features.

LA PÊCHE AU CARRELET est une méthode de pêche traditionnelle, utilisant un filet de pêche horizontal mis à l'eau à partir d'un bateau de pêche, d'un ponton ou d'une pêcherie sur pilotis. Les cabanes sur pilotis de berge adaptées aux variations de marées se développent à partir du XIXe siècle sur la côte atlantique française, pour devenir un de ses emblèmes.

DAS FISCHEN MIT DEM REUSENNETZ ist eine traditionelle Fangmethode, bei der ein horizontales Fischernetz zum Einsatz kommt, das von einem Fischerboot, einem Ponton oder einer Pfahlhütte aus ins Wasser ausgelegt wird. Die an die Gezeiten angepassten Pfahlhütten am Ufer verbreiteten sich ab dem 19. Jh. an der französischen Atlantikküste und wurden zu einem ihrer Wahrzeichen.

The Kiama Blowhole was formed by the action of air in a wave-worn cave. The waves entering the cave compress the air, acting as a drill and forcing a passage upwards. Once a hole is opened, wave action forces water up into the air. Over time, as the hole has enlarged, the plume of spray becomes less. It is now at its best in a strong south easterly wind. I missed having a good plume when taking the fences, but caught a better one with the PiP. Happy Fence Friday and have a great weekend, everyone.

Seen en route by light aircraft from Jakarta to Pulau Putri about 60km north in the Java Sea.

A classic tropical island: deep blue sea fringed with a shallow lighter blue coral reef, white coral sand beach & green trees on the island - paradise! A Pulau Seribu islet in the Java Sea, one of the 1000 Islands - actually I read there are only 124 of them but who's counting?
