Die Fleischroulade schön mit reichlich Senf, Zwiebeln, Speck gefüllt, dann gerollt und scharf angebraten. Dazu dann Apfelrotkohl, Kartoffelknödel und eine helle Sauce. Super lecker. :-)

We were gifted with a couple of nice, small pumpkins from a friend's farm.

We will make pumpkin pie soon, but in the meantime, we had to at least prepare the pumpkin for pie-making. Here they are, coming out of the oven.

We were gifted with a couple of nice, small pumpkins from a friend's farm.

We will make pumpkin pie soon, but in the meantime, we had to at least prepare the pumpkin for pie-making. This was taken before I tried to mash the cooked pumpkin. No go. Later I had more success with the hand-blender.
