A range of pre-coloured wax crayons, used to cover [fill] small scratches / pin-holes in timber - usually furniture or panelling.
The wax needs to warmed to make it pliable when stopping pin holes or to mix for a more exact colour match. I use it cold when working on scratches. Normally a final coat of varnish or lacquer will be required.

Root mat - mass of interlocking, semi-exposed tree roots on the north bank.
Mostly pine trees in this area, if I am recalling correctly.
The surface soil and leaf litter has been worn away by people walking over the area to get closer to Low Force.

Various U-Bolts and retaining loops that hold the waggon together, as no glue is used. Most of these, used in pairs, hold the bottom foot of the side bolsters against the cill. [see PiP at top left] Several have been repaired, now in undercoat, will be black gloss quite soon.

The brown livery is a welcome change from the usual range of greens.

The second plaque needs some minor repairs to the carved ribbons. Having been refurbished the other plaque and pediment are quite a contrast.

Slightly 'arty' image of light beams and shadows across one of the rebuilt bulkheads.
The cut-out in one of the planks was, we think, behind part of the steam heating control system.

21-23 November 2014, National Exhibition Centre.

Posts and ropes for HFF and were even set up on a Friday !
