Le valigie sono quelle di Josep Subirats, pittore catalano che fu deportato in un campo di concentramento in Francia durante la guerra civile spagnola, poiché appoggiava i repubblicani.
Da notare l'assurdità di essere spagnolo, repubblicano e contro la dittatura, e trovarsi recluso nella repubblica francese ...

La cittadina di Elne, che si trova vicino a quei famigerati campi di concentramento e che è nella Catalogna francese, ha dedicato un'esposizione al pittore e all'uomo.

Ein Blick in den Innenstadtbereich von Dinkelsbühl (Deutschland). Dinkelsbühl war im Heiligen Römischen Reich eine Reichsstadt, die direkt dem Kaiser unterstand und politisch weitgehend autonom war. Dinkelsbühl gehört zu den besonders gut erhaltenen historischen Städten in Süddeutschland. Dinkelsbühl blieb im Zweiten Weltkrieg weitgehend von schweren Zerstörungen verschont, da die Stadt kurz vor Kriegsende im April 1945 kampflos übergeben wurde. Das historische Stadtbild blieb dadurch im Wesentlichen erhalten.

Das Würzburger Tor in Thüngersheim am Main wurde 1751 erbaut. Der überörtliche Verkehr floss früher durch das Würzburger Tor und den historischen Altort von Thüngersheim. Bevor die heutige Bundesstraße B 27 und die davor genutzte Staatsstraße außerhalb des Ortskerns verliefen, war die enge Hauptachse des Dorfes der zentrale Verkehrsweg für Fuhrwerke, Postkutschen und den frühen Automobilverkehr. Welche Erleichterung für die Bewohner als die Ortsumgehung ferig gestellt war (1980)!

The Würzburg Gate in Thüngersheim on the Main River was built in 1751. In earlier times, interregional traffic passed through the Würzburg Gate and the historic old center of Thüngersheim. Before today’s federal road B 27 — and the state road used before it — were routed outside the village core, the narrow main axis of the village served as the central traffic route for wagons, stagecoaches, and early automobile traffic. What a relief it was for the residents when the bypass was completed in 1980.

Die historische Altstadt von Dinkelsbühl ist noch vollständig von ihrer Stadtmauer umschlossen. In dem Städtchen an der Romantischen Straße sind dreiviertel der Häuser über 350 Jahre alt. Viele von ihnen wurden direkt an die Mauer angebaut. Von beiden Seiten schmiegen sich Gärten malerisch an die Stadtbefestigung an, kleine Weiher schmücken den Mauergraben und auf der Gesamtlänge von 2.500 Metern befinden sich seit dem Mittelalter 20 Türme und vier Stadttore nahezu unverändert. In Urumqi, Xinjiang - China, 4 young Uighur food stall attendants are motionless at the tandoor, engrossed in their phones.
Phones have replaced cash in China and everything is technologically advanced.
Passport numbers or identity card numbers do all the work of tickets. If you catch a train( tickets are pre-booked) or enter a ticketed tourist spot, your entry is by scanning your passport or identity document.
It was -17°outside, so I momentarily envied them draped around the hot tandoori oven!

Im Hofgarten der Residenz Würzburg blühen zur Zeit die Kirschbäume in opulenter Pracht, so schön wie nie. Schon früh morgens sind viele Besucher aus aller Welt im Garten, um sich an der Blütenpracht zu erfreuen. Als zufällig nur noch eine fotografierende Asiatin im Park war, konnte ich diesen Schnappschuss machen.

The cherry trees in the Hofgarten of the Würzburg Residence are currently in full bloom, looking more beautiful than ever. Even early in the morning, the garden is filled with visitors from all over the world who have come to admire the blossoms. As I happened to be the only person left in the park taking photos, I was able to snap this picture.
