Mein ca. 1,80 m großer Säulenkaktus, der im Hauskeller den Winter überdauert und im Sommer im Garten steht, hat dieses Jahr sechs Blütenknospen. Im Laufe der letzten Tage sind alle aufgeblüht. Die Blütenöffnung erfolgt in der Dämmerung und bis zur Morgendämmerung ist die Blüte vorbei. Das Foto machte im letzten Sonnenlicht. Der Blütendurchmesser beträgt ca. 15 cm.

My columnar cactus, which is about 1.80 m tall and spends the winter in the basement and the summer out in the garden, has produced six flower buds this year. Over the past few days, all of them have opened. The flowers open at dusk, and by dawn they are already finished. I took the photo in the last sunlight. The flower is approximately 15 cm in diameter.

Sie ist eine Verwandte der Echten Kamille,im Gegensatz zur Echten Kamille fehlen ihr die weißen Zungenblüten komplett. Der Blütenkopf besteht ausschließlich aus den grünlich-gelben Röhrenblüten, was ihr dieses charakteristische, knopfartige Aussehen verleiht.Wenn man die Blütenköpfchen oder Blätter zwischen den Fingern zerreibt, verströmt sie einen intensiven, typischen Kamillenduft, der oft sogar etwas süßlicher oder apfelartiger ist als der der Echten Kamille. Sie enthält ebenfalls ätherische Öle :))

It is related to German chamomile, but unlike German chamomile, it completely lacks the white ray florets. The flower head consists exclusively of greenish-yellow disc florets, giving it its characteristic button-like appearance. When you rub the flower heads or leaves between your fingers, it releases an intense, typical chamomile scent, which is often even slightly sweeter or more apple-like than that of German chamomile. It also contains essential oils :))

Elle est apparentée à la camomille allemande, mais contrairement à cette dernière, elle est dépourvue de fleurons ligulés blancs. Son capitule est exclusivement composé de fleurons tubulaires jaune verdâtre, ce qui lui donne son aspect caractéristique de bouton. En frottant les capitules ou les feuilles entre les doigts, elle dégage un parfum intense et typique de camomille, souvent même légèrement plus sucré ou rappelant la pomme que celui de la camomille allemande. Elle contient également des huiles essentielles :))

Bei mir im Garten gefunden: Ein prächtiges Weibchen vom Hauhechel-Bläuling (Polyommatus icarus), einer bei uns häufigen Bläulingsart, die von April bis Oktober fliegt und pro Jahr bis zu 3 Generationen ausbildet. Die Männchen sind auf der Unterseite im Grundton leicht grau gefärbt. Der Schmetterling im Bild saugt an einer Blüte der Färberkamille (Cota tinctoria), die im Moment blüht.

Found in my garden: a magnificent female Common Blue (Polyommatus icarus), a butterfly species that is widespread here, flying from April to October and producing up to three generations per year. The males show a slightly greyish ground tone on the underside. The butterfly in the photo is feeding on a blossom of Golden Marguerite (Cota tinctoria), which is currently in bloom.
