Oldtimertreffen Altes Blech in Lohfeld. Hier gab es alte Autos, Motorräder, Traktoren und Nutzfahrzeuge zu sehen. Vom Einzylinder bis V12 war alles dabei. Es knatterte, dröhnte, rauchte und es roch nach verbranntem Benzin.

Dieses Expertenpaar interessiert sich offenbar für den alten Lanz Bulldog (rechts) und den argentinischen Linzenznachbau Pampa (links und PiP). Vielleicht hatten sie selbst einmal ein Exemplar.
Beide Traktoren dürften etwa Baujahr 1950 sein. Der Traktor hat einen Einzylinder-Zweitakt-Vielstoffmotor mit 10,3 Liter Hubraum und 55 PS bei 750 U/min. Da braucht man keinen Drehzahlmesser, denn man kann jede Explosion mitzählen. Der Fahrer wird dabei ordentlich durchgeschüttelt. Der Motor kann auch mit Schweröl, Pflanzenöl und Tran betrieben werden, und er kann sogar rückwärts laufen. Das charakteristische Pochen des Motors hört man schon aus einem Kilometer Entfernung.

Commonly seen on WW2 airfields, apart from aircraft, Taskmasters would tow bomb trolleys and other loads - sometimes in long "trains"

Dieses Wochenende ist Kirmes bei uns im Dorf.

Traditionnel kommt dann der “Hämmelsmarsch”, das heisst die Musikkapelle des Ortes geht (heute fährt) durch die Strassen zu den einzelnen Häusern und spielt den Hämmelsmarsch. Im Gegenzug spenden die Einwohner etwas Geld oder Erfrischungen (von Kaffee zu Hochprozentigem ist alles dabei).

We passed through Carnamah it was hard to miss this big one David is 6'3" look how small he is. It is well worth the read of the boards first tractors ran on kerosene
