Summerlee Museum of Scottish Industrial Life is an industrial and social history museum in Coatbridge, North Lanarkshire, Scotland.

The machine at Summerlee Museum is a boiled‑sweet mixing and forming machine used in the production of Oddfellows, one of the best‑known traditional Scottish sweets. King’s of Wishaw specialised in boiled sweets, and Oddfellows were among their most famous products. The factory could produce around 3,000 Oddfellows per minute, showing the industrial scale of what was still a local, family‑rooted business.

Back Door of "The Counting House", a J D Wetherspoon Pub, Anchor Lane, Glasgow

The pub’s official address is 2 St Vincent Place.

It sits on the corner where St Vincent Place meets Queen Street, directly facing George Square.

Although the official Wetherspoon page lists only the St Vincent Place address, the building itself occupies the full corner footprint, and the Queen Street side is an active entrance opposite George Square..

Colquhoun Square, Helensburgh

The yacht featured on the plinth in Helensburgh’s Outdoor Museum is a 'Gareloch One Design', a class of elegant 24-foot wooden racing yachts that have graced the waters of the Gare Loch since 1924.

Designer: Ewing McGruer, of the renowned McGruer boatbuilding family in Clynder.

Year Built: 1924.

Fleet Size: Just 16 were ever built—and remarkably, all 16 still survive and race today.

Purpose: Designed for competitive sailing, these yachts were known for their graceful lines and spirited performance.

Location: Colquhoun Square, Helensburgh.

Feature: A bronze half-model of the yacht hull mounted on a plinth, with carved inscriptions detailing the class’s history.

Unveiled: During the town’s Winter Festival, as part of a broader celebration of Helensburgh’s cultural and nautical legacy.

Creators: The model was commissioned by the Gareloch One Design Association, with contributions from local figures including Tim Henderson, nephew of John Henderson—the man credited with reviving the fleet in the 1950s.

The Gareloch One Designs are more than boats—they’re living links to a bygone era of yacht racing. Their continued presence on the loch is a testament to community dedication and craftsmanship.

They’ve outlasted many other classes, including Olympic and international designs, and remain a colourful fixture of summer sailing in the area.

River Clyde, Clydebank

Titan Clydebank, more commonly known as the Titan Crane is a 150-foot-high (46 m) cantilever crane at Clydebank, West Dunbartonshire, Scotland. It was designed to be used in the lifting of heavy equipment, such as engines and boilers, during the fitting-out of battleships and ocean liners at the John Brown & Company shipyard. It was also the world's first electrically powered cantilever crane, and the largest crane of its type at the time of its completion.

Situated at the end of a U-shaped fitting out basin, the crane was used to construct some of the largest ships of the 20th century, including the Queen Mary, Queen Elizabeth and Queen Elizabeth 2. The Category A Listed historical structure was refurbished in 2007 as a tourist attraction and shipbuilding museum. It is featured on the current Clydesdale Bank £5 note.

Not an artwork - a real anchor, this is a claw or Bruce type. Invented by Peter Bruce (from the Isle of Man) during the 1970s.

Some of the hinges from F37 are marked "W BRADBURY & SON" presumably this stamped name is that of the makers.

Historically, this was a creamery, but it's been a brewery for about 15 years. I appreciate that they've kept the old sign and restored it when they bought the building. In the 1950s and 60s they had a small cafe called (guess what) The Creamery. It was THE place to go for ice cream cones, sundaes, shakes and the queen of ice cream dishes: the banana split! My favorite was a hot fudge sundae.The Klamath Creamery milkman delivered fresh milk to our house every morning. I can clearly remember the clinking of the glass bottles in their wire basket when he placed it on our porch as the sun came up.
