Einkaufsgalerie Grosse Bleichen.

Das Hanseviertel ist eine Ladenpassage in der Hamburger Neustadt zwischen Poststrasse und Grosse Bleichen.
Die Passage wurde vom Hamburger Architekten Volkwin Marg, vom Büro Meinhard von Gerkan, Volkwin Marg und Partner mit einem vollkommen durchfensterten Tonnengewölbe, zwei Rundbauten (Rotunden) darin mit Glaskuppeln überdacht.
Die Passage wurde am 14.11.1980 eröffnet und bietet auf 8'500 m² Platz für ca. 60 Geschäfte.

Einkaufspassage "Galleria", Grosse Bleichen.

Die im Juni 2014 eröffnete, in schwarz-weissem Marmor gehaltene Einkaufspassage stammt vom Schweizer Designer- und Architekten-Ehepaar Haussmann. Inspiriert wurden sie von den Einkaufspassagen des 19. Jahrhunderts in Paris.
Die Passage verbindet die Grosse Bleichen und den Bleichenfleet und wurde vom renommierten Design-Magazin "Wallpaper" ausgezeichnet.

Amager Bakke (Copenhill) is a striking, angular building whose entire mass is wrapped in a shimmering “brick” façade of stacked aluminum panels, giving it an almost pixelated, industrial sculpture look. Its most famous feature is the sloping roof that becomes a full‑length artificial ski slope with green surface in summer and snow in winter, flanked by walking paths and a dramatic outdoor climbing wall on one side. Large, square openings and a clean, minimalistic profile make the plant read more like a contemporary cultural venue or art museum than a conventional incinerator, especially when illuminated at night. Behind this expressive architecture, the facility works as a combined heat‑and‑power plant, turning the city’s non‑recyclable waste into both district heating and electricity for surrounding households.

Happy Wednesday Wall !

Rebelzer, der Schöpfer dieses Graffitos zählt zu den bekanntesten Street-Art-Künstlern Hamburgs. Er ist seit über 30 Jahren in der Graffiti-Szene aktiv und ist der Erfinder der "Freaks" – markante, schwarz-weisse Figuren mit reduzierten Linien und hohem Wiedererkennungswert.
Seine Figuren habe ich schon letztes Jahr im ► Grünen Bunker angetroffen.

Maske mit Hotel "Atlantis", Hamburg.

Der Schweizer Architekt und Künstler Max Bill (1908 - 1994) erschuf 1948 die Skulptur aus Granit „Rhythmus im Raum“, die auf mathematisch-geometrischen Prinzipien (Möbiusband) basiert. Die Plastik verbindet drei Kreisringe zu einer dynamischen Form, die als Symbol für die Harmonie von mathematischem Denken und künstlerischer Gestaltung gilt.
Raffiniert daran ist, dass man aus einem anderen Blickwinkel (siehe PiP) zudem einen Frauenkörper erkennt.

Stuart Sutcliffe, der fünfte Beatle.

Der Platz erinnert an die Bedeutung Hamburgs in der Geschichte der Beatles. Hier wurde der Grundstein zu ihrer Weltkarriere gelegt. Der Entwurf des Platzes mit den 5 Plastiken stammt von den Architekten Dohse & Stich und die Kosten des Projektes betrugen über 500'000 Euro, die zu gleichen Teilen durch Spenden, Sponsoren und die Stadt Hamburg aufgebracht wurden.
Initiator des Projektes war der Hamburger Radiosender Oldie 95.

Beim Beatles-Denkmal in Hamburg steht eine Figur etwas abseits und wird kaum beachtet: Die Metallplastik von Stuart Sutcliffe. Er (und Pete Best) werden auch etwa als fünfter Beatles bezeichnet.
Sutcliffe war kurzzeitig Bassist der Band The Silver Beetles, bzw. der Beatles und war auch als Maler sehr talentiert.
Am 10. April 1962 starb Sutcliffe in Hamburg im Krankenwagen auf dem Weg ins Krankenhaus an einer Hirnblutung

Different perspective from my previous post—this time focusing on a single karst formation's sculptural presence. Shot on expired stock, which adds those characteristic color shifts and grain that somehow fit these ancient limestone pillars. The film's chemical degradation creates unpredictable results frame-to-frame, making each shot unique. Love how the waterline erosion patterns show clearly here, while background formations fade into atmospheric haze.

Hạ Long Bay, in Quảng Ninh Province and the Gulf of Tonkin, is known for its limestone pillars and islands rising from the sea, forming one of Vietnam’s most distinctive landscapes. A recent image, but exposed on expired film, which gave the scene its muted palette, warm cast, and slightly dreamlike texture. The karst towers and calm water already have a timeless quality; the old film adds another layer, somewhere between travel record and found memory.

Reminiszenz an Louis de Funès (31.07.1914 - 27.01.1983) und Bourvil (27.07.1917 - 23.09.1970).
An dieser Stelle in Beaune wurden Teile des Films "La Grande Vadrouille", 1966, gedreht.
Mit dabei war auch Rémy Julienne, der berühmte französische Stuntman, der 2021 im Alter von 91 Jahren verstorben ist. Mit mehr als 1'400 Produktionen gehört er zu den weltweit erfolgreichsten Vertretern seines Fachs.

Siberian ibex (Capra sibirica) rest and climb here on the rocky “Steinbockfelsen” of Zoo Berlin, a structure that offers them many ledges, caves, and vantage points reminiscent of natural cliff faces. Their permanent horns grow throughout life and, together with specially cushioned hooves, allow them to balance precisely even on narrow outcrops. Family groups usually consist of females with their kids, while the more robust males with the longest horns often stay slightly apart and keep watch over the surroundings.
