The secretary bird is a mostly terrestrial bird of prey "with an eagle-like body on crane-like legs that give the bird a height of as much as 1.3 m (4 ft 3 in)"

The secretary bird's name was inspired by the long, stiff black feathers on the back of its head which look like the quill pens that office workers once kept tucked behind their ears.

A Nile Crocodile swims alongside the frantic wildebeest crossing the Mara River in Kenya. Normally, one or two of the wildebeest would become his dinner. However, this day, he was content to watch his dinner pass him by. Perhaps he had recently had his fill of wildebeest. In any event, these wildebeest were extremely lucky that he allowed them to pass unscathed.

The Laurel Groves of Fanal belong to the mystical Fanal Forest, a volcanic caldera plateau in the municipality of Porto Moniz, on the island of Madeira. Normally the color of the river is green but due to heavy rain occuring some day before the color was brown, sign that erosion going on since 4 millions of years continues, day after day.

There are often messages left on the cliff tops, made from chalk pebbles that litter the surface. Some are of the ' *** wos 'ere ' type, some ' X luvs/loves Y' , some have pictures. I guess some are photographed on mobile phones and pads and sent off into the internet. This lady has some photography in mind, but who knows what. I hope she achieved what she wanted to.
