Le passage de 2020 à 2021 est comme un blanc qui se présente en toute incertitude à nous. Nous n'avons vécu rien d'équivalent à cela ni nos ailleuls hormis lors de la dernière guerre mondiale... Je ne peux que souhaiter et agir pour que nos enfants ne le revivent plus, étant donnés les nombreux enjeux qui se profilent.
Je souhaite à vous mes amis, à nous et à eux, un futur meilleur et une meilleure année, une année pleine d'espérance, qui sera nous le savons, nourrie de luttes et d'abnégation.
Tel sera l'avenir d'ipernity auquel je souhaite un aussi long et profitable avenir. Merci à vous, mes amis, de nous le préserver en même temps que notre fraternité tellement précieuse.

The gap between 2020 to 2021 is like a blank that presents itself to us in all uncertainty. We have not experienced anything equivalent to this nor our ancestors except during the last world war... I can only hope and act so that our children will no longer know it, given the many challenges that lie ahead.
I wish you, us and them a better future and a better year, a year full of hope, which we know will be nourished by struggle and self-sacrifice.
This will also be the future of ipernity, to which I wish such a long and profitable future.
Thank you, my friends, for preserving it for us and for our so precious brotherhood.

Where are you O Wild Deer?
I have known you for a while, here.
Both loners, both lost, both forsaken
The wild beast, for ambush, have all waken

Es war an der Zeit, das Neujahrsfest vorzubereiten.
Der König wies seine Leute an: "Ich möchte, daß es ein wirklich königliches Fest wird. Die Gästeliste soll überquellen von illustren Persönlichkeiten. Die Tische sollen sich biegen unter Delikatessen, und der Wein soll nur aus erlesenen Trauben und besten Jahrgängen bestehen."
Die Mitarbeiter schwärmten aus und brachten aus allen Landesteilen nur das Köstlichste. Aber der König war nicht zufriedenzustellen.
"Im letzten Jahr habe ich ein durch nichts zu überbietendes Fest gegeben. Aber die ganze Stadt sprach nur von dem Fest bei Ramun, dem Maler. Da wurde getrunken und gelacht die ganze Nacht bis zum Nachmittag des nächsten Tages. Im Jahr davor war es dasselbe. Ebenso im Jahr davor und davor. Einmal muß es mir doch gelingen, diesen Wurm zu übertrumpfen, denn ich, ich bin der König."
Einer der Mitarbeiter, ein kluger Mann, verneigte sich tief und fragte:
"Mein König, habt Ihr je mit dem Maler gesprochen? Es muß doch einen Grund geben, warum die Leute sein Fest so lieben, obwohl sie in schäbiger Hütte ihre mitgebrachten Happen essen und den billigsten Wein trinken müssen."
Der König nickte stumm und sagte: "Gut, schafft mir diesen Ramun heran."
Und so geschah es.
"Warum lieben die Menschen so dein Neujahrsfest?" fragte der König.
Worauf der Maler:
"Wir sind Freunde und brauchen einander - aber mehr brauchen wir nicht. Deshalb sind wir reich."
