When I took this photo on 27 November 2010, I was looking up into the trees and had only a camera and telescopic zoom lens. I had none of the special lighting equipment and so even after digitally brightening the image, the photo remained less than desirable. Now with AI and asking it to change the back lighting to front lighting, this photo has been rehabilitated as if I had the special equipment in the first place. :)

I also had AI remove the branch in front of the owl's face.

The Australian Magpie is totally unrelated to the European Magpie. They are usually friendly (though a few occasionally become aggressive in the nesting season). This one was hoping for a few food scraps in an outdoor coffee area.

This is one of our regular visitors to the bird feeder........sitting on the fence right outside our living room window. This was his second time round and you can see some of the pieces of mealworms stuck in his feathers!

Taken through the window with a double glazing filter on the lens ;-)

Au fond on voit le Fort National, construit en 1689 par Vauban pour assurer la protection de Saint-Malo. Lorsque le drapeau est hissé, le site est libre pour la visite qui se fait en fonction des marées (accès à marée basse uniquement).

THE ONE-LEGGED SEAGULL. In the background, you can see the Fort National, built in 1689 by Vauban to protect Saint-Malo. When the flag is raised, the site is open to visitors; tours are organised according to the tides (access at low tide only).

DIE EINBEINIGE MÖWE. Im Hintergrund ist das Fort National zu sehen, das 1689 von Vauban zum Schutz von Saint-Malo erbaut wurde. Wenn die Flagge gehisst ist, ist die Anlage für Besucher zugänglich; Führungen finden je nach Gezeiten statt (Zugang nur bei Ebbe).
