"Punked" is the expression used by some railway photographers when something gets in the way, otherwise known as being photobombed ...

This is No.34027 "Taw Valley" a Southern "West Country" class 4-6-2, built in 1946 at Brighton Works.
Running here as No.70 "Elizabeth II" for HMQ's Platinum Jubilee, repainted in a purple [Lilac] livery in June 2022, which included the Platinum Jubilee crest on the tender.

In October 2022, she regained her own name and number, and will be repainted at a future date.

The Candlestick, viewed in the twilight, before the floodlighting switches on.
Maybe imaging things, but that blurred bird looks somewhat like the local heron, as opposed to a gull.

A hovercraft arrives in Southsea having travelled from the Ryde on the Isle of Wight............seemingly being led onto the beach landing area by a passing gull.

The hovercraft, which can carry up to 25 passengers, is the fastest way to travel from Southsea to the Isle of Wight (Ryde). Generally a one-way trip only takes 10 minutes or so. It is the world's only year round passenger hovercraft service.

The area around Horsey Wind Pump is reputed to have quite a few swallowtail butterflies, but unfortunately, I have failed to see any during my various visits.

A closer look at the smokebox on 35018.
There are a few lamps on there, so I don't think she's showing any of the old headcodes.
Forward visibility isn't great on these locomotives, although the smoke deflectors will help.
The footplate crew were a friendly group, and proud of their steed.

[after some other people had cleared my view, purple backpack walked into shot and started filming and stayed there - and my train along the coast was almost ready to leave ...]
