Towards the end of 2021, the rabbit population in the area not only had to endure the growth in predatory fox numbers and neighbours with air guns, but also suffered with the disease myxomatosis. An awful disease which killed many. But I'm delighted to see at least two rabbits did survive and here's the result, a group of brand new babies enjoying life in the early morning sunshine

Many Brent Geese spend their Winter months here on the South Coast of England leaving in Spring time to head back to the breeding grounds on the Arctic Tundra. Here they are doing a classic V formation fly-by today.

Family of Goldfinches

Much as I would like to cut down this dead tree in my yard and use the logs for heating, a family of Goldfinches regularly use the bare branches to gather and sing to each other. There were 17 of these little birds on the day photo was taken, but often I've seen in excess of 25-30 at a time.

Not a very 'Happy' Fence Friday - Some delightful individual decided to dispose of an old fridge over my front fence. Whoever it was could have simply left it on the other side on the public path, but maybe they were thinking of the environment

Spitfire pleasure flights from Goodwood Aerodrome in West Sussex pass overhead on a regular basis and usually only a single aircraft is seen, but today it was a treat to see two of these classic planes flying together. Next day the pair flew over again, see PiP.

This old wooden box had been adapted/repurposed and used as a tool/storage drawer in a workshop for many years and only today whilst having a tidy-up did I notice the printing on the sides (and the woodworm). See two notes.

This washing up liquid bottle was placed on a south facing window sill which allowed the sun to warm and expand the air inside, and by chance this little bubble was spotted just before it popped.

A European Robin who visits here daily for the odd snack or two. He eats ok and looks quite healthy, but he is unusual as always has his beak open, even when flying.
