The loco is a Fowler design and built in 1925 by Robert Stevenson &amp; co for heavy goods traffic over the steeply graded Somerset and Dorset main line, during it's last overhaul it was repainted back to it's original black colour,&lt;br /&gt;

Having fallen into substantial disrepair after closure in 1966 (passenger)/1971 (goods), the building was eventually restored as part of an agreement with Sainsbury's who built a store on part of the site. The architecture is a joy to behold even with the varied present day uses including car parking beneath the trainshed. &lt;br /&gt;

These were both made fairly early in the S&amp;D period of our modelling when the use of stable Hornby Dublo chassis were preferred, to ones made by sticking white-metal axle guards onto plasticard under-frames. It is short of a number of details - roof fittings and the black metal plates at the joints of the bodywork.&lt;br /&gt;
